Next test! Water. Okay kiddos, climb in.
And we take away the ladder.
Oops… this will not do. We cant have the bystanders ruin our test by summoning the SW. So we use the single fill all needs for each of the bystanders.
And I fill all needs with the exception of energy for the test subjects. O.o *facepalm* why didn’t I just drain their energy?! Because I just now thought of it? Uh ya … that’s why. *sighs*
Its night time, they’re finally getting tired. My daughter walked in about this time and asked why they’re platinum… simple… they both had wants to gain body skill points.
Synchronized whining… who will tire out first?
CG wins… erm loses… is lost first.
CB swam across the pool to cry for her and was lost half way there.
Its cool how Grim is floating over him just as he dies. *sits fascinated*
So, EO was right… as are the others. Fire and water work well, starvation is out. As for illness and satellites, they are so random and take so long that I didn’t try them out… maybe next time…
Disclaimer: I did not save… all children, toddlers and teens are still alive and kicking somewhere in Veronaville. I would say no children were harmed but that would be a lie… *shrugs*
All in the name of science!

CG is playing the piano, TB lights the fireplace. Classic Wooto piano fire set up with a few extra plants… and nothing… lit that thing 4 times!
So I add a grill… what? No interactions available? *headdesk*
Oh uh… ya a refrigerator is necessary to give her something to cook. Silly me.
We have an immediate fire… naturally CG stops playing long enough to panic over the fire… over and over and over again.
The teens instinctively attempt to grab the toddlers and run them to safety… then panic sets in, they put them down run around and grab the toddlers again… rinse, repeat
Ah, CG is on fire… excellent.
Well now… this is unexpected. Who will get here first, SW or Grim?
And the winner is Grim. You go boy! Heh.
The fire rages on… I forgot how long it takes to finally burn out. Maybe we’ll get lucky and the CB will get caught in the excitement.
Nope, silly TB is though.
Oh look, TodB is on fire… yet he’s unscathed.
*facepalm* TG catches fire… you know that means it will prolong my need to watch them suffer…
TodB is still on fire, and yet still untouched. They truly are invincible.
And our end results… yes, children can burn… yes, teens can burn… no, toddlers cannot burn.
Next test.
Testing 1-2-3
Curiosity kills the cat…
I raised the question: What can kill sim children?
Responses varied yet results were the same, fire, water & illness. Starvation is sure to bring on the Social Worker (SW) who will whisk away the children before they can die. Naturally, playing devil’s advocate, I asked about doors and windows… naturally SW is magical and can beam the child to safety.
Well being the twisted simmer that I am… I wanted to see for myself. O.o What? Its all in the name of science!
Here we are in Veronaville, in a random empty house with the Newsome kids (TB – Teen Boy, TG – Teen Girl, CB – Child Boy, CG – Child Girl, TodB – Toddler Boy, TodG – Toddler Girl) who are my unwilling test subjects. (clicking on most photos will bring up the full unedited photo so you can see what I saw.)
I sent them all to a 2nd floor room, removed all the doors and windows in that room. I turned off free will.
Then saved… why? Well because I’m going to be testing them several times and I don’t have to have to go through all that again… ya ya, I’m lazy… hehe
Next I put up the painting… I forgot what its called but its available for download at simology? I dunno I can look for it if I need to.
Okay kids… where we go!
Wow, have you seen so much red in your life? Its awfully pretty. *snicker snorts*
The only ones not caring about their bladder is the toddlers.
Ah, there’s the SW warning…
And there she is… lets watch and see how she gets the kidlets.
Beam me up, SW!
Its like magic. Crafty SW.
All this was done within the first 30 sim minutes… and before I could exit out, TB up and dies on me, too.
Okay so just like everyone said… you can’t starve the kids. What about fire? They said it can work…
lets give it a try.
